When you register a domain name with IMOMA TECH, it is automatically configured by default to point to our universal nameservers. However, if you prefer to manage your domain's DNS through an external infrastructure — such as Cloudflare, Sucuri, or any third-party host —, you can easily update your Nameservers directly via your Client Area.
Step-by-Step Guide to Update Nameservers in WHMCS:
- Log in to your IMOMA TECH Client Area using your registered credentials.
- From the top navigation bar or the central widgets, click on Domains and select My Domains.
- Locate the specific domain you want to modify from the list and click the wrench tool icon or select Manage Domain.
- On the left-hand sidebar menu under management tools, click on Nameservers.
- You will see two choices available:
- Use default nameservers: Keeps your domain tied to IMOMA TECH's native routing.
- Use custom nameservers (enter below): Allows you to point to third-party providers. Select this option.
- Wipe the active records under Nameserver 1 and Nameserver 2, and fill them in with the new server addresses provided by your external platform.
- Click the blue Change Nameservers button to submit and save the configuration.
ℹ️ Important Service Notice: Switching over your Nameservers to an external network means that any professional cPanel email accounts or active sites hosted with us will stop resolving, unless you manually replicate the matching records inside your new external DNS dashboard.
How long does it take to update?
While our automated interface commits the updates instantly, please keep in mind that modifying root server pointers relies on global DNS propagation windows. This cycle usually takes anywhere between 2 to 24 hours to fully synchronize across all global internet service providers.
