How to point your domain to IMOMA TECH (Nameservers) Print

  • 0

After purchasing a cPanel or CyberPanel hosting plan at IMOMA TECH, the next mandatory step to get your website and professional emails online is pointing your domain to our servers. This is done by updating the Nameservers (DNS servers) at the provider where you registered your domain.

ℹ️ Note: If you purchased your domain directly from IMOMA TECH during checkout, this setup has already been handled automatically! This tutorial only applies if your domain was registered with external providers (such as Namecheap, GoDaddy, or local registrars).

What are IMOMA TECH's Nameservers?

To point your domain, use the following universal DNS addresses:

  • Nameserver 1: ns1.imomatech.com
  • Nameserver 2: ns2.imomatech.com

Step-by-Step Guide to Update Your Domain:

  1. Log in to the dashboard of the company where your domain is registered (e.g., Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.).
  2. Find your domain list and click on Manage or DNS Settings next to the domain you wish to point.
  3. Look for the section named Nameservers. By default, it might be set to "Provider DNS" or "Basic DNS".
  4. Change this selection to Custom DNS.
  5. Enter ns1.imomatech.com in the first field and ns2.imomatech.com in the second field.
  6. Click Save (or the checkmark button) to apply changes.
⏳ DNS Propagation Time: Nameserver updates are not instant. The global internet infrastructure requires time to recognize the new settings. This process (known as DNS propagation) can take anywhere from 2 to 24 hours. During this window, your website might experience intermittent loading issues until it fully stabilizes.
